Military Honors - VIP Reception

Description: The 6th Annual Juneteenth Military Honors- VIP Reception is hosted by the 1865 Coalition in honor of Black U.S. veterans and those black men and black women who currently serve in the armed forces. This special Juneteenth Flag Raising ceremony is a small token of recognition and honor of #BlackSoilders. We value their sacrifice and the role they played in "spreading the word" of emancipation (freedom) from slavery in "1865". This is a significant part of history that we should be proud of and continue to embrace as part of Black Culture and our contribution to building this nation called America.
